Salomon makes great boots, and I have a pair of Toundra winter boots from before that are among the best I've owned. However, this model has a bit of a strange fit for me - they are relatively tight around the forefoot, but if I go up a size, they instead start to loosen around the heel. It is conceivable that a smaller size would mold to the foot after 5-10 kilometers (quite common), but considering the price, I dare not take a chance. Therefore it was a return.
