Shake well before applying evenly on clean shoes. Remove any excess product from the sole material with a clean cloth. Let it dry for 12 hours for maximum performance.
When a technical shoe is used, the water-repellent surface treatment, DWR, begins to age and become damaged. Maintaining a good care and cleaning routine will ensure that the item performs as well as possible for as long as possible, but there will come an hour when the DWR needs to be replaced, which can be done by the regular user. Our waterproofing fabrics contain no harmful PFOA or PFOS substances and offer an excellent level of performance. Applying this renews a DWR to as close to the original performance as possible. Spraying provides application only on the outer surface and in the highest concentration.
To check if an object needs a little extra DWR, a simple test can be done. Water drops to the surface and if it leaks, the DWR is in good condition. If it sticks to the surface or moisturises the surface and the colour darkens, then it may be worth using an impregnation after the cleaning cycle.
